Team Overview:
Worship is a humble expression of loving well. It is not about us. We express our love for God through worship and we do so in community in humility as an act of love and service for one another. Worship isn’t just something that happens on a stage, it's a movement of God through the hearts of everyone in the room. To lead that experience for your community requires deep personal commitment to the craft, compassion and love for your community, and overflowing conviction in Jesus as our Savior.
Resources - playlists, chord charts, song tracks to practice with, lyrics etc… for participants to be well-prepared for the weekend. We expect our volunteers to practice individually to be ready for when we come together. All will need to be/become comfortable playing or singing with click-tracks, using in-ear monitors.
Vocalists: Need experience and giftedness in singing, staying on key, and ability to sing in three parts of harmony, with confidence and conviction to lead our congregation well.
Musicians: Need to be proficient on their instrument, and dedicated to practicing individually.
Instruments include: Keys - proficient in playing chords and accompanying worship music
Acoustic or Electric guitar - Tone and skills developed for worship music genre
Bass - Accuracy in notes with a clean tone and builds a foundation for the rest of the band
Drums - Builds a strong pocket/groove for the band, with sensitivity for worshipful moments
Strings - on occasion we may add special string elements, but is not a regular weekly instrument.
Expectations: Communicate well, be punctual, be prepared, be a team player, attend rehearsals and meetings.
Requirements: Attend our church for awhile and become familiar with our Crosswalk values, atmosphere, and members. Next step needed is to complete Sterling Volunteers for Southern New England Conference and be cleared to serve.
Then we can set up an audition.
